Pepto continued to prove his worth as an influential sire. For 12 straight years (2001 – 2013) he produced horses that tallied combined earnings of over $1 million each year. Two were NCHA Horse of the Year honorees—Little Pepto Gal in 2002 and Copaspepto in 2007. His son, One Time Pepto, also a red road stallion, has produced offspring earning $1 million plus in competition. Pepto also sired the 2001 National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Champion Boonlight Dancer and the 2009 NRCHA Derby Open Champion Smart Boons. One of Pepto’s most famous grandsons is Metallic Cat, who has sired offspring earning $32.4 million. Metallic Cat walked into a herd 37 times during his cutting show career and never lost a cow.

"Pepto" was acquired by the Aarons from Jackson Land & Cattle in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the age of 22. Lori Aaron was determined to have his final home be at their family's ranch, and her husband Phillip agreed to inquire about the colorful champion. The deal worked out, and Pepto enjoyed the easy life with them in his twilight years. He passed away in October 2024 at the impressive age of 32. Pepto has left a legacy with plenty of offspring following in their sire's footsteps.
